Mauricio has a Master of Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy (STEP) from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Environmental Science. As an Energy and Climate Specialist at LHB, Mauricio is involved with the LHB-led Local Government Energy Project for Energy Planning (LoGoPEP) initiative and other performance projects. His work includes: greenhouse gas accounting and reporting, Life Cycle Analysis, economics, statistics, and endeavoring to bridge the gap between science and policy. While attending Humphrey School, Mauricio researched how to develop sustainable and low-carbon cities in the United States and in emerging economies like India. Mauricio is skilled with technology and is particularly interested in how to use data wisely and leverage technology to promote more sustainable, healthy, and livable communities.
